Sound Healing in Moon Twp

During Massage, she will often play intuitively chosen binaural beats tailored to the client or work with the client to choose their preferred healing background music. She is also trained in the use of Tuning Forks and will often use specific frequency forks to help release a client’s migraines and sometimes even stubborn trigger points. She also uses off the body tuning forks during Reiki sessions to clear the auric field and weighted, on the body tuning forks to balance chakras and or address specific body areas. Every so often, she may feel inspired to bring her Tibetan singing bowls, frame drum or rain stick in for a particular client’s Reiki session. Tingsha’s are also used at the end of a Reiki session to signify to the client it’s time to slowly and gently come back to their conscious state. What is Sound Healing in Moon Twp?
Sound healing, alternatively known as Sound Therapy or Vibrational Medicine, is the practice of using sound and frequency for relaxation, healing and personal development. It’s currently enjoying a large following and much curiosity. Articles in national newspapers, magazines, and events across social media have raised the profile of gongs, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls and tuning forks as sound healing instruments, with enthusiasts signing up in increasing numbers to lay down with a comfy blanket and cushion and enjoy an hour of relaxation. (In this case, enjoy these methods during your massage and/or Reiki session!) And, relax you it can! With the capacity to slow down your respiratory rate, relax your brainwaves patterns, lower your heart rate, calm your nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and create a deep sense of wellbeing, sound healing is at the cutting edge of healing and goes well beyond simple relaxation. Participants with conditions such as Parkinson’s are benefitting, as are the elderly, and those with PTSD and other mental health difficulties.
How does sound healing work? According to the law of physics, everything in the universe vibrates with frequency. Human beings have their own frequencies too, also known as resonances. Sound healing is based on the belief that dis-regulation or disease in the body is a result of our natural resonance being out of tune or off balance, whether due to stress, illness or environmental factors, and that working with frequencies can bring your body back into healthy vibration.
Where does sound healing come from? Sound healing isn’t new. Eastern spiritual traditions used instruments like gongs for ceremony and healing over three thousand years ago. Native Americans have also used frame drums for ceremony and healing. More recently, ultrasound, an accepted and frequently used medical intervention, is a form of sound healing using focused and fast vibrations.
In the 21st century, who is a sound healer? Anyone can buy and play a gong or other instrument. There are no regulations and no governing bodies. However, there are many responsible sound healing practitioners with good intentions; experienced musicians, or those with prior training in another healing or medical modality, who all share a belief in the healing power of sound healing and a desire to set some standards for the safety of the public. There are some contraindications that you should always be sure to make your sound healer aware of Epilepsy, During Pregnancy, Mechanical Devices like Pacemakers, Brain Injuries, and Blood Clots.
